Berlusconi allies blames internet for the attack

The members of the ministers governing coalition has blamed the internet for the recent attack on their prime minister. Silvio Berlusconi suffered a broken nose and two fractured teeth. It is believed that Berlusconi aides are specifically blaming Facebook and Twitter, two of the biggest social networking in the world. Thus, they are coming up with an idea to further limiting the freedom of speech in Italy. Roberto Maroni, Minister of Inferior said that he is planning to set a tougher limits on freedom of expression and has promised to hack down on social networking sites that “instigate” violence against the leader of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi. It is learned that Mr. Berlusconi’s country already has some of Europe’s strictest limits on free speech. Italy’s most controversial law is that requires most blogs to register as newspapers with the National Order of Journalists. Another law, approved after 9/11 incident, requires all internet cyber cafes to check and examine their customers Identifications and sets hard limits on the use of wireless internet connections.
