Puppies are naturally very energetic animals and would not sit for very long. After successfully training your dog to sit, you can start teaching to listen to other commands such as come, lay down, stay, fetch and heel. Puppy training can be very fun for both parties if done properly. Do not beat or frighten your puppy because this will have consequences on the relationship between the both of you. Conversely, do not neglect your puppy as well. Dogs are friendly and sociable by nature. Play and interact with them as often as possible. Maintaining a good relationship with your puppy will also make puppy training an easier and more pleasant process. Being persistent and consistent is the key to having a well-trained puppy.
