Puzzles are games that are not just enjoyable to play but also very good for the development of the critical thinking of a person. There are now many online games that children and young adults find very interesting. These games have served as a good past time for many who love to surf the net and look for games that would awaken their senses and boggle their brain cells.

One of the newest crazes of many online players is the game called bloxorz. It is a puzzle game that is regarded by many as beautifully executed. The main aim or objective of this game is to get the rectangular block of the bloxorz to fall into a square hole at each stage’s end. The game has 33 stages that the player must be able to complete. To do this, you must first solve each puzzle at each stage using a series of teleporters, bridge-opening and block switches to move on to the next game level.

For you to be able to move the block or tumble it around the field, you will use the arrow keys for up and down. But when doing this, make sure that it will not fall of the field’s edges. When the bloxorz falls, you will start from the beginning of the level. There are several switches and bridges at the levels. Switches will be activated once pressed down by the bloxorz. You need not rest on a switch to keep a bridge closed. The switches are of two types: the “soft” ones which are round and the “heavy” one which are of X-shape.

The soft switches will be activated when any part of the rectangular block will press it. On the other hand, the hard ones will require more pressure and you can only activate it when your block stands on its end. Once activated, the switches will then be acting differently. Some will swap bridges from open to close and then open again once used. There will also be those which will just keep the bridges open and even if you reactivate it, it will not close. Squares of colors red and green will flash and indicate which of the bridges are operated. The orange tiles are more fragile compared to the rest. If your bloxorz stands up on this orange tile vertically, it will give away, with your block falling. The third type of switch is the (). This one will teleport the block to numerous locations, splitting each bloxorz into two smaller ones at the same time. They can be individually controlled and will just rejoin into one normal block when they are put next to one another. You can also choose what small block you will use at a time by simply pressing the space bar. The small rectangular blocks can still activate the soft switches but not the heavy ones. Also, these small blocks will not be able to go through the exit hole because only a complete bloxorz can finish a stage. Do not forget the corresponding pass code for each of the stages, which you will see on the right corner at the top. You can skip back to a certain stage later in the game by simply going to “Load Stage” which is found on the main menu by entering the 6 digit level code.
